Message First off I want to make sure everyone understands that the vast majority of people will not ever have a problem with this. We have recently discovered on one of our personal cars that it is possible to "melt" the Noltec Urethane Motor mounts. We have installed many sets on customers cars without any problems but there are some conditions they will not hold up in without taking extra precautions.

Noltec advises to always run the proper heat sheilds on manifolds and they are not be interested in covering any warranty claims against their products due to heat damage. Unfortunately, there are plenty of Z32 guys with upgraded turbos or manifolds no longer using these sheilds.
We've found that this probably can't occur if you are running heat sheilds on your manifolds. We do understand that it is sometimes desired to leave the sheilds off. Even under these circumstances most people do not see a problem. However the certain group of people who are running without the heatsheilds and running their cars at higher boost levels for unusual amounts of times may experience problems. If you get the manifolds red hot for long enough with no sheilds the heat will eventually destroy the motor mounts, but it takes a while. You have to be really giving the car hell.

The radiant heat from the manifold is all we need to overcome to keep this from happening. We have found that just reflecting the radiant heat is more than sufficient in preventing this failure.
So we are now intalling the following high tech invention on the all the Noltec mounts we put on and including a piece with the mounts we ship out.

It has a peel off backing and is available at Wal-Mart or pretty much anywhere.

Yes, there are better heat reflective products on the market that customers are welcome to use, but this gets the job done.
